Here's another Z570M-1 clock build by Rex. It is nice to see what Rex can make of some bare wood and bare metal. It reminds me of Jule Verne's Nautilus and steam engines, or the computer games like Myst and Riven. This is serviceable gear, with big bolts, solid rings, lifetime warranty. Build to last.

Rex used blue leds for the backlight. With end view tubes the leds don't tend to illuminate the entire tube, only a circle of light is seen. I noticed that too when I played with the IN17 tubes. From the picture you would think this is a large clock, but I estimate it isn't much taller than 16-17 centimeter.

Rex: "I finished Snorkel finally.  I hope you like it. It uses a 6091 end view nixie".

Well, I like it a lot! Well done Rex!
