After cutting RGB LED strip you may want to put a new connector on. This connector kit consists of a 4 pole connector plus a small piece of shrinking tube. By heating the tube using a hairdryer it will shrink and makes it all look nice and tidy. It also improves the reliablity of the connector.

Important! Pins on one side are thinner, and these are to be soldered to the strip. The thicker pins fit nicely in male connector.
